The Mizzou Volleyball team (17-12) received an at-large bid into the 2023 NCAA Division I Women’s Volleyball Championship. The Tigers who earned the eight seed will face Delaware (24-4) Friday, Dec. 1 in the First Round of the NCAA Lincoln Regional. First serve is set for 4:30 p.m., CT, at the Bob Devaney Sports Center in Lincoln, Nebraska. No. 1 overall seed Nebraska will also face Long Island University (13-18) on Friday, at 7 p.m., CT. Friday’s winners will meet in the Second Round on Saturday, Dec. 2 at 7 p.m., CT.

Missouri will make its 18th NCAA Tournament appearance in program history and first appearance since 2020. Missouri is 1-0 all-time against Delaware with the Tigers prevailing 3-0 on Sept. 17, 2016 in Newark, Delaware. Mizzou is 17-17 all-time at the NCAA Volleyball Championships.

The Tigers return to the tournament under first year head coach Dawn Sullivan. Sullivan is 126-50 (.716) as a head coach, and took over the Tigers program after five seasons as the head coach at UNLV. She led the Rebels to the 2022 Mountain West Conference Championship, five-straight postseason appearances and 20 or more wins in four of five seasons, including 54 victories over the last two seasons.
