Jarrod Dyson’s first career grand slam lifted the Kansas Ciry Royals past the Cleveland Indians 7-3 Monday night.
Dyson’s slam capped off a seven run eighth inning that saw the Royals erase a 2-0 defict. Kansas City struggled against Cleveland starter Corey Kluber but did their damage once they got into the bullpen.
Luke Hochevar notched the win in relief. Wade Davis picked up the final out for his 20th save of the season. Edison Volquez pitched well in the start for KC, giving up just two runs on four hits over seven innings striking out six.
