Mizzou freshman defensive lineman Terry Beckner Jr. was arrested Wednesday night by the University of Missouri police department, accused of marijuana possession.

MUPD pulled Beckner over for not having headlights on, when they detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle.

Mizzou head football coach Barry Odom has suspended Beckner Jr. indefinitely.

Beckner earned Freshman All-America honors from Sporting News, USA Today, and the Football Writers Association of America.

Beckner was one of the nation’s most dominant freshmen as a DT before being sidelined by injury on the first play vs. BYU on Nov. 14. In what turned out to be just nine games worth of work, Beckner tallied 27 total tackles (13 solo) while totaling eight tackles-for-loss and three sacks.
