-The Vols start the quarter with the ball and after gaining one first down the Tigers defense gets a stop and forces a punt. The punt goes out of bounds at the Missouri 37 and that is where Mizzou starts their first drive of the quarter leading 24-3 with 13:05 left.
-Mizzou is able to gain a first down on a carry by Henry Josey but the drive stalls and the Tigers punt. Tennessee start at their own 11 yard line with 9:52 left in the quarter.
– Tennessee is forced to punt and the Tigers get the ball back.
-Maty Mauk has a 19 yard run putting him over 100 for the game and then Russell Hansbrough scores on a 26 yard run capping a 4 play 65 yard drive. With 6:44 left in the quarter the Tigers lead is 31-3.
-The Missouri defense continues to get stops as they force a Tennessee punt that is downed at the Tigers 1 yard line.
-Mizzou goes three and out and after the punt the Volunteers take over at their own 49 yard line.
-Tennessee can’t score as Braylon Webb picks off a Joshua Dobbs pass at the Tigers 1 yard line.
-The quarter ends with Missouri facing a 4th and 1 at their own 10 yard line and prepared to punt.
