Adam Teicher of the Kansas City Star reports that the Chiefs have signed former Tennessee quarterback Tyler Bray, who surprised a lot of people by coming out after his junior year…and then went undrafted this past weekend.
He’s 6’6, 232 pounds and has the arm to be an NFL quarterback, but many felt he needed another year of college ball to groom himself. While the Chiefs may not have drafted him, they see enough to at least give him a shot in mini camp for the number three spot. Bray will join Ricky Stanzi and Alex Tanney in that battle for third behind Alex Smith and Chase Daniel.
We saw Bray put on a show by passing for 404 yards and four touchdowns against Mizzou in the Tigers 51-48, quadruple overtime win over the Vols last season.
