Blues win fourth in a row on the road

March 1, 2012 By Bill Pollock

Andy McDonald scored twice and Kevin Shattenkirk had a goal and two assists to give the Blues a 5-2 win at Edmonton and move them ahead of Detroit in first place in the Central Division.”

Scott Nichol scored in the second period and Chris Stewart connected on a third-period penalty shot to support Jaroslav Halak, who made 22 saves and joined teammate Brian Elliott as a 20-game winner. It’s the first time in franchise history the Blues have had two goalies win 20 games in the same season.

The Blues play in Vancouver tonight and a win over the Canucks would push St. Louis into first place overall in the Western Conference.
