Derrick Washington’s trial delayed

December 20, 2011 By Bill Pollock

Former Missouri running back Derrick Washington’s scheduled trial this week on two domestic violence charges involving an ex-girlfriend have been pushed back. A rescheduling hearing is set for early January.  Washington already received a five-year sentence in November for felony sexual assault on a former tutor. Washington is eligible for release as early as March under a 120-day “shock incarceration” for first-time offenders.
