The Columbia Daily Tribune is reporting that the University of Missouri and softball coach Ehren Earleywine have agreed to a seven year contract extension.

Earleywine will be guaranteed $155,000 per year through the 2018 season, which is a $30,000 raise. That type of an agreement is almost unheard from a sport that generates little to no revenue for the athletic department.

What’s hard to put on a price on though is the success that the Jefferson City native has acheived. The Tigers are coming off their third straight trip to the College World Series. Mizzou was the Big 12 regular season champ and finished sixth nationally, the highest in school history.
