The murder conviction of a Sparta woman has been thrown out after a judge discovered the defense had not been given information about the criminal record of a prosecution witness.
A jury had convicted Paula Hall in 2009 of the murder of an Oldfield woman six years earlier. The witness, Lisa Bonham, had been Hall’s cellmate for a time. She was facing a probation violation charge at the time of Hall’s trial.
