Passengers safe after Branson Belle runs aground

December 13, 2010 By [email protected]

About 600 passengers have safely left the Branson Belle showboat, which ran aground this weekend. Nine passengers were evacuated for medical reasons Saturday night after the boat ran aground but others stayed aboard until yesterday morning. The boat lost power to its paddlewheels and 45-mile-an-hour winds and choppy waters forced the boar to run aground on a rocky shore across the channel from its regular port on Table Rock Lake.
