Make it six straight Class 2 titles for Lamar, becoming the first school in MSHSAA history to achieve that feat.

Vianney is the first state champion with five losses.

Harrisonville used a fast start, scoring on their first two possessions and built a 21-0 halftime lead, then held off the defending Class 4 champs with a 21-14 win over Kearney.  It marked the first time in 47 years that two metro KC schools played each other for the title.

Monett won their first state football championship since 1977.  The Year of the Cubs!

Penney capped off a perfect season racking up 477 total yards.
