Jason West, the Director of Communications for MSHSAA, is out on the road today, scoping out potential new sites for the boys and girls soccer championships for as early as the 2015-16 season.  We caught up with Jason from the road as he talks about the potential locations they are looking at, as well as what MSHSAA looks for when picking out a site to host championships.

After Jason and the staff make their visits throughout the state, they’ll submit their recommendations to the MSHSAA board of directors who will vote on the approved site at a board meeting on April 10th.

MSHSAA has already visited Branson and Waynesville, along with a stop in Springfield at the Lake Country soccer facility.  Today, they’ve made their road trip to the St. Louis Soccer Park in Fenton.  MSHSAA will look at a site in Kansas City as well as a couple of sites in Columbia at some public schools and Columbia College.
