Senator pushes tax credits for air cargo forwarders (AUDIO)

Missouri biggest tax credit programs are facing some limits….while the senate talks about creating a couple of new tax credit programs.

Kirkwood Senator Eric Schmitt hopes the legislature approves tax credits that encourage devleopment of data centers in Missouri–big computer operations that hold gigantic amounts of information. He also wants tax credits for freight-forwarders.  They’re people who arrange flights carrying Missouri products throughout the world.  He would base the operation at Lambert-St. Louis airport, which has unused runway and terminal space and runways that can handle international cargo flights.

                                 AUDIO: Schmitt & Munzlinger :32

Senate agriculture chairman Brian Munzlinger sees a major international cargo operation as a key to major growth of the farm economy.
