The Missouri Tigers will not have a player selected in the first round of the NFL draft this April. So while there won’t be a Jeremy Maclin or Aldon Smith or Blaine Gabbert type player this year, it didn’t stop half of the NFL teams from sending scouts to watch up close at Mizzou’s Pro Day on Thursday in Columbia. Some of the players who participated in last weekend’s NFL Combine were on hand, but did limited drills.

Wide receiver Jerrell Jackson ran some pass routes, but didn’t participate in any other drills, sticking with his numbers in Indianapolis. Jacquies Smith spoke with teams, but didn’t work out and Dominque Hamilton planned on running through some drills, but later backed out. Michael Egnew ran through the drills and bettered his numbers on his vertical leap and broad jump.

Among the Tigers who participated: RB Kendial Lawrence, WR Wes Kemp, OL Dan Hoch, OL Jayson Palmgren, OL Austin Wuebbels, LB Luke Lambert, LB Will Ebner, LB Zaviar and CB Trey Hobson. The Rams had scouts on hand as did the Super Bowl champion Giants and AFC champion Patriots. Green Bay, Atlanta Philadephia, San Diego and San Francisco were some of the notable teams with reps on hand.

The next Mizzou Pro Day is March 15th.
