The win gives Northwest (7-1, 7-0 MIAA) at least a share of the MIAA championship. It’s the team’s second consecutive title and 21 st overall. Only Truman with 27 championships has more MIAA crowns.
The University of Central Missouri Mules scored the game’s first 28 points and coasted to a 56-14 victory over the winless Southwest Baptist Bearcats on Saturday at Plaster Stadium. The Mules (6-3, 5-2 MIAA) moved into a four-way tie for second place in the MIAA with the win.
