State budget cuts have hit Missouri’s second-biggest public university hard enough that the school is considering eliminating some sports. Southwest Missouri State University President John Keiser says it’s a worst-case scenario, but he’s asked the athletic department to set some priorities. He says football, the two basketball programs, and baseball are the only sports that are immune from cuts.
