A minister from Republic has been convicted of six sexual abuse cases. The Reverend Russell Winkler has pleaded no contest to the charges, which were filed in Atchison, Kansas. The prosecutor says the offenses occurred while the minister was at the Christian Church there between 1979 and 1982. Sentencing is scheduled for next month.
