The Kansas City Chiefs used a devistating ground game, led by Priest Holmes to slip past the San Diego Chargers 25-20 on Sunday. Holmes rushed 30 times for 181 yards and a score while Tony Richardson added two touchdowns on the ground, his second giving the Chiefs their final margin of victory in the final two minutes. The Chargers trailed this one 19-0 at the half but they then scored 20 unanswered points to take a 20-19 lead, setting the stage for Richardson’s heroics. The Chargers rally came with rookie back-up quarterback Drew Brees in the game. Starter Doug Flutie was knocked out in the first half with a concussion. Kansas City improves to 2-6 on the season, both their wins have come on the road.
