Union Pacific’s Big Boy No. 4014 steam engine is headed to Kansas and Colorado after spending several days in Missouri wowing thousands of railroad fans.  The historic engine wraps up its cross-country tour at the end of the month when it returns to its home in Cheyenne, Wyoming.  The stop in Kansas City Wednesday was met with large crowds anxious to see the world’s largest operating steam locomotive.

The coast-to-coast excursion has included events and whistle-stops across 14 states, drawing tens of thousands of spectators at various stops.
