The Hmong in Missouri: From the Secret War to Building Communities (LISTEN)

The Vietnam War left a lasting impact far beyond Southeast Asia. One of the lesser-known stories is that of the Hmong people, an ethnic group that fought alongside American forces during what became known as the “Secret War” in Laos. After the war, many Hmong families were forced to flee their homeland, eventually settling in communities across the United States, including Missouri.
