A second suspect in a million-dollar casino robbery in mid-Missouri is now in custody, months after the crime.
The FBI says Hollis Vanleer Junior, 20, was arrested Wednesday in Bloomington, Illinois in connection with the March 25 armed robbery at the Isle of Capri Casino in Boonville.
Investigators say Vanleer and 21-year-old Benjamin Michael-Dass Charles of Columbia, a casino employee, are accused of stealing more than $1.2 million dollars during the robbery.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, two masked suspects entered the casino armed with a rifle and handgun, went to the bank area, and took cash before fleeing after a struggle with a patron, and Charles was arrested shortly after the crime while Vanleer remained on the run until this week.
