A suspect in a million-dollar casino robbery in central Missouri remains on the run months after the crime, and the FBI is now offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to his arrest.
Investigators accuse Hollis Vanleer Jr. in the March 25 armed robbery at the Isle of Capri Casino in Boonville, where more than $1 million was taken. Vanleer, 20, and Benjamin Michael Dass Charles, 21, are accused of entering the casino with guns and demanding money. Both men worked at the casino.

During the escape, a customer was assaulted. The suspects fled in a vehicle later found abandoned in Howard County.
Charles, who was a casino security guard, was arrested shortly after the robbery.
Missouri State Highway Patrol Lt. Eric Brown told Missourinet the reward could generate new tips and bring renewed attention to the case.
“It brings back to light the investigation and helps people remember what they may have seen or heard that could help us move forward,” Brown said.
He also emphasized that Vanleer should be considered dangerous.
“Do not approach him. Contact law enforcement immediately,” said Brown.
He added that anyone with information can submit tips confidentially, either by phone or online.
Vanleer faces charges including first-degree robbery, armed criminal action, and first-degree assault. He is described as about 6’1″ tall, with black hair and brown eyes, and has an unknown tattoo on his left hand. He is believed to have ties to Illinois.
