Missourians filed more than a quarter of a million insurance claims related to severe weather last year.
Missouri Department of Commerce and Insurance Director Angela Nelson says that while companies have paid out nearly $3 billion in reimbursements, it could take up to three years for all the insurance checks to arrive. She says over four thousand Missourians are not happy and have filed formal complaints.
