Kansas City Convention and Visitors Bureau officials say the World Cup “buzz” is getting louder. Mackenzie Wolters of Visit KC says hotel bookings have been lower than expected. She notes, however, there’s a very positive indicator coming from short-term rentals near Arrowhead Stadium.
World Cup matches begin June 16th and continue through July 11th. The event is expected to attract over 650-thousand fans and pump hundreds of millions of dollars into the local economy.
