A small typewriter shop in Rolla, Missouri, got the attention of one of Hollywood’s biggest stars. After sending a letter to Academy Award-winning actor and noted typewriter collector Tom Hanks, Shane and Amanda Byrne, owners of Clickety Clack Typewriters Shop, received an incredible surprise in the mail: a vintage typewriter and a personal letter from Hanks himself.
Shane and Amanda joined Show Me Today to talk about the growing typewriter community, their unique shop, and what it was like hearing back from Tom Hanks.
