Six members of the Missouri Tigers football team were selected in the 2026 NFL Draft, marking one of the most productive draft classes in program history. Four players were taken during the second day of the draft in Pittsburgh, with two more selected on the final day. The total of six selections is tied for the most in the Eli Drinkwitz era and ranks as the second-highest total in school history.

Defensive end Zion Young and linebacker Josiah Trotter were chosen with consecutive picks in the second round, going 45th and 46th overall. Young was selected by the Baltimore Ravens, followed by Trotter by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Defensive tackle Chris McClellan was taken in the third round by the Green Bay Packers with the 77th pick, and offensive lineman Keagen Trost went to the Los Angeles Rams at No. 93 overall.

The four selections within the top 100 picks match a program record previously set in 2009. The back-to-back selections of Young and Trotter marked just the second time in program history that teammates were drafted with consecutive picks, and the first occurrence since 1981.

Young, a first-team All-SEC selection, led the Tigers in tackles for loss with 16.5 and totaled 42 tackles, 6.5 sacks, 14 quarterback hurries, two forced fumbles, and two pass breakups during his senior season. Trotter, a transfer from West Virginia, also earned first-team All-SEC honors after leading the team with 84 tackles and adding 13 tackles for loss. He played a key role on a defense that ranked among the nation’s top 20 in multiple categories, including total defense and scoring defense. McClellan earned second-team All-SEC recognition after recording 48 tackles, eight tackles for loss, and six sacks, while Trost was named a first-team All-American by Pro Football Focus and helped anchor one of the nation’s top rushing offenses.

On the final day of the draft, wide receiver Kevin Coleman Jr. was selected by the Miami Dolphins in the fifth round with the 177th overall pick. Cornerback Toriano Pride Jr. followed in the seventh round, going 220th overall to the Buffalo Bills. Coleman led the Tigers in receiving with 66 catches for 732 yards and contributed on special teams with a punt return touchdown. Pride recorded 24 tackles, two interceptions, and returned one for a touchdown while also posting one of the fastest 40-yard dash times at the NFL Combine.

The six-player draft class ties the program’s output from 2024 and trails only the seven selections recorded in 1981 during the common draft era. Missouri’s 2026 season is scheduled to begin September 3 at Memorial Stadium against Arkansas-Pine Bluff.
