What wastewater is revealing about viruses in Missouri communities (LISTEN)

Show Me Today host Bill Pollock recently visited the Grand Glaze Wastewater Treatment Plant in Valley Park, just outside of St. Louis. He is exploring a unique approach to public health, wastewater surveillance. This program has been active since 2020. They collect wastewater samples from around the state for the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services to look for viruses such as COVID-19, the flu, or RSV.
