The Missouri State Highway Patrol is continuing its search for a second suspect following an armed robbery on March 25th at the Isle of Capri Casino in central Missouri.
MSHP Lt. Eric Brown told Missourinet that one suspect, 21‑year‑old Benjamin Michael Dass Charles, a former casino security guard, has been arrested.
Investigators are still looking for his alleged accomplice, 20‑year‑old Hollis C. Vanleer Jr., and are asking for the public’s help in locating him.
“At this point, locating Vanleer obviously is very important to the investigation,” Brown said. “If anyone sees him or knows his whereabouts, we encourage them to contact the patrol or the nearest law enforcement agency.”
Authorities say two masked men armed with AR‑15‑style rifles entered the casino and targeted the bank area. Investigators estimate the suspects escaped with nearly $1.3 million before fleeing the scene.
Brown said the stolen money remains part of the ongoing investigation. He also warned Vanleer should be considered armed and dangerous, and the public is advised not to approach him.
“If they do see him, they need to call 9‑1‑1,” Brown said.
