Missouri Golf has announced the Missouri Junior Tour will be renamed the Stan Utley Tour beginning with the 2026 season, honoring one of the state’s most accomplished players and dedicated advocates for youth golf. Utley, a Missouri native, University of Missouri All-American, and PGA Tour winner, has long been committed to helping young golfers develop their skills and love for the game.
Utley’s impact goes well beyond his playing career. Through his work hosting junior tournaments and mentoring young athletes, he has helped create meaningful opportunities for the next generation. The newly named tour will continue that mission, offering 10 one-day events across Missouri each season for golfers ages 8 to 18, with both 9-hole and 18-hole formats. The co-ed tour consistently fills up, often with lengthy waitlists, reflecting its popularity and strong reputation.
The Stan Utley Tour currently serves more than 240 members and is expanding to new locations statewide, aiming to make competitive junior golf more accessible. Organizers say the goal is not only to provide high-quality competition, but also to emphasize sportsmanship, personal growth, and a lifelong connection to the game.
Missouri Golf leaders say the rebrand represents both a celebration of Utley’s legacy and a vision for the future, with plans to grow the tour into one of the premier junior golf programs in the country while continuing to inspire young golfers across the state.
