A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect through 10:00 a.m. for most of northern and parts of central Missouri. Wind gusts up to 50 miles per hour are possible.

Snow accumulations of up to one inch are possible across the advisory area, which includes Kansas City, St. Joseph, Rock Port, Sedalia, Kirksville, and Hannibal.

Several major highways in northern Missouri, including portions of interstates 29 and 35, are partially and in some areas completely covered with snow. Both highways are open, however. Black ice is a concern in the Kansas City area and stretching into northwest Missouri.

The latest road conditions can be found on MoDOT’s Traveler Information Map.

The Bootheel counties of Dunklin and Pemiscot counties are under a Freeze Warning through 12:00 p.m.
