It’s the 31st NCAA Tournament appearance for the Tigers and the second straight under head coach Dennis Gates, marking the program’s first back-to-back bids since a five-year run from 2009 through 2013. Missouri has 23 all-time NCAA Tournament wins and has reached the Elite Eight five times, including a run in 2002 when the Tigers beat Miami in the first round.
The Saint Louis University Billikens are headed back to the NCAA Tournament, earning a number-nine seed in the 2026 NCAA Division One Men’s Basketball Championship. Saint Louis, now 28-5 on the season, will face the number eight seed Georgia on Thursday, March 19th at KeyBank Center in Buffalo, New York.
It marks the Billikens’ eleventh NCAA Tournament appearance and their first since 2019. The winner moves on to face either top-seeded Michigan or the winner of the First Four matchup between UMBC and Howard on Saturday, March 21st. Saint Louis enters the tournament with a school record tying 28 wins after finishing 15 and 3 in Atlantic 10 play to earn a share of the conference regular season title, while Georgia comes in at 22 and 10 overall with a 10 and 8 mark in the SEC.
The Missouri State Lady Bears (22-12) earned a No. 16 seed in the 2026 NCAA Tournament and will open their 18th NCAA appearance on Wednesday, March 18 in Austin, Texas. Mo State will face Stephen F. Austin in the First Four round. The winner of the First Four matchup will advance to play No. 1 seed Texas on Friday, March 20.
Missouri State won the Conference USA Tournament title in its first year in the league after beating the top three seeds in the tournament. The Lady Bears finished the regular season tied for third (11-7), before capturing their 12th tournament crown in program history. This marks the first NCAA Tournament appearance for the Lady Bears since 2021-22 and extends Missouri State’s postseason streak to 11 consecutive years. Mo State owns a 19-17 overall record at the NCAA Tournament and has two Final Four appearances in program history.
