(Jefferson City, MO) — Anglers will be lining the banks of Missouri’s trout parks this Sunday, to mark the start of the catch and keep trout season. The season opens at 6:30 Sunday morning. Residents 16-to-64 and nonresidents 16 and older must have a fishing permit. Trout anglers must also have a daily trout tag, which can be purchased at trout parks, including Roaring River State Park near Cassville, Bennett Springs State Park near Lebanon, and Montauk State Park near Salem. The daily trout tag is $5 for adults and $3 for youth 15 and under. The Daily fishing permits are $9. The Missouri Department of Conservation encourages anglers to buy their permits ahead of time. The season runs thru the end of October.
