For a lot of Missourians, March 1 is a tradition. Before sunrise, bundled up against whatever late winter throws at them, anglers line the banks at Roaring River State Park, Bennett Spring State Park, and Montauk State Park, waiting for that 6:30 a.m. start to catch and keep trout season. For some, it is about filling a memory bank that stretches back generations.
Joining Show Me Today to get you prepped for opening weekend is Andrew Branson, a fisheries biologist with the Missouri Department of Conservation.
