Missouri men’s basketball delivered a historic performance Wednesday night, closing the game on a 15–2 run to defeat Kentucky 73–68 at Rupp Arena. The win marked the Tigers’ first victory in Lexington in 10 tries and moved Mizzou to 12–3 overall. The Tigers also improved to 2–0 in SEC play for the first time since joining the conference, overcoming a late eight-point deficit with poise down the stretch.

The game featured multiple momentum swings. Missouri built small leads in the first half before taking a one-point edge into the break. Kentucky surged early in the second half and eventually pushed its advantage to 66–58 with under five minutes to play. From there, Missouri responded with timely stops and efficient offense, pulling within one before taking the lead for good in the final minute and sealing the win at the free-throw line.

Senior Mark Mitchell led the Tigers with 21 points, including the go-ahead basket with 36 seconds remaining. Jayden Stone added 20 points and a team-high seven rebounds, while Anthony Robinson II chipped in nine points and a career-best 10 assists. Missouri shot nearly 52 percent from the field and controlled the paint, outscoring Kentucky 40–28 inside. The Tigers continue SEC road play Saturday at Ole Miss.
