Missourians covered by UnitedHealthcare can breathe a sigh of relief.
SSM Health and UnitedHealthcare have signed a letter of agreement, extending their contract for 30 days after months of negotiations and a looming December 31st deadline.
The temporary deal means more than 140,000 Missourians with UnitedHealthcare commercial or Medicaid plans can continue seeing SSM Health doctors and hospitals at in-network rates without disruption. Both sides say they’re working toward a multi-year agreement to secure long-term access to trusted, local care.
Patients who canceled or rescheduled appointments during the uncertainty are encouraged to reconnect with their providers through MyChart or by calling their SSM Health office.
