(St. Louis, MO) — A Missouri economic development group is adding up its success in 2025.  Allen Dillingham of the Missouri Technology Corporation says there are many successes this year.  The M-T-C, which was created years ago by the Missouri General Assembly, invested $60 (M) million into 170 start-up companies.  Dillingham says the grants and loans support their mission to encourage entrepreneurship and innovation in the high tech, bio, and agriculture areas.  He says efforts this year have led to the create of 8,000 jobs.

Small businesses awarded grants or loans thru the program must agree to come up with a one-to-one match.  Dillingham says in 2025, that amounted to over $2 (B) billion dollars in private financing.

The M-T-C has recently been awarded $33 (M) million dollars in federal funds to support its efforts.   Dillingham says if the funds are used, Missouri will be able to apply for another $33 million.
