A Missouri S&T student’s work on ballistics testing is improving public safety (LISTEN)

Avery Lyons, a Missouri S&T PHD student, is gaining international attention for research that speeds up how ballistics materials are tested and work that helps engineers spot problems earlier and improve safety before products ever reach the public. It’s the kind of behind-the-scenes science that can influence everything from protective gear to industrial materials, even though most of us never realize it’s happening. She shares her research with Bill Pollock.
