How did Missouri’s first day of legalized sports betting go?
Missouri Gaming Commission Chairwoman Jan Zimmerman told Missourinet that things have been pretty quiet on her end.
“I’m assuming that if something had gone terribly wrong, I probably would have heard that,” said Zimmerman. “You know, we won’t have any numbers for quite a while, but if I was a sports wager, I probably would know, you know how it had worked, If I had placed a bet. But so far, so good, I think.”
Zimmerman told Missourinet Gaming Commission staff is keeping an eye on things that have to do with sports betting.
“Obviously, revenue, you know, numbers of wagers placed,” said Zimmerman. “We’re not requiring them (operators) to report to us until mid-January. And then of course, we’ll make those numbers public.”
