An ethics complaint filed against Mizzou football coach Eli Drinkwitz has been tossed out by the Missouri Ethics Commission, because the commission does not have enough members to render decisions.

Multiple media outlets report that last year Drinkwitz voiced support for a candidate running for mayor of Columbia during a local radio show. The show was a university-sanctioned program, and as a result someone filed a complaint accusing him of violating university rules.

There are six seats on the Missouri Ethics Commission, and a minimum of four are required to have a quorum. Right now, there are only two commissioners and four vacancies, according to the Ethics Commission’s website.
