U.S. President Donald Trump is apparently growing frustrated with Russian President Vladimir Putin over increased attacks against Ukraine. Trump has been trying to get Russia to agree to a ceasefire in the more than three-year-old war.

U.S. Rep. Eric Burlison, R-Mo. 7th District, indicates it’s time for the U.S. to place economic sanctions on Moscow.

“While we don’t want to get involved in the theater of war, I do think that there’s a lot of things that we can do, particularly with sanctions, that we need to be more aggressive on,” Burlison told Missourinet.

Burlison also suggested placing sanctions on countries that continue to do business with Russia.

“As Putin is, you know, continuing to reign terror on on its neighbors, the United States needs to make it abundantly clear to Russia and to countries that doing business with Russia that that will not be acceptable to the United States,” he said.

Trump is reportedly considering sanctions if Putin does not agree to a ceasefire with Ukraine within two weeks.
