(Undated)  —  Qualifying residents of Missouri can now apply for a summer food assistance program.  The SuN Bucks program, funded by the U-S Department of Agriculture allows families with school age children a one-time $120 benefit per qualifying child.  The benefit is to be used to pay for nutritional foods at authorized locations throughout the state of Missouri. Most eligible children receive the benefit automatically. Qualifying families will get an EBT card by mail or the benefit will be added to their existing EBT card.   Families not signed up for it can do so until August 31st, 2025.

The USDA’s criteria for the program:

Households in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), children who are homeless or in foster care, a migrant, or a household that meets a school’s free or reduced price school meal requirement.
