The man who was falsely accused of being one of the shooters at the Chiefs’ super bowl rally last year has died.
Denton Loudermill, Jr. of Olathe, Kansas sued three members of the Missouri Senate who shared social media posts that accused Loudermill of being the shooter and of being an illegal immigrant. Those three are Sen. Rick Brattin, R-Harrisonville, Sen. Nick Schroer, R-Defiance, and former Sen. Denny Hoskins, who’s now Missouri’s Secretary of State.
The suit was later dismissed in Kansas due to jurisdictional issues and refiled in Missouri.
It’s unknown how Loudermill died, but his attorney released a statement on Friday saying that she and his family would continue to seek to clear his name.
