Texas authorities have announced they will not pursue charges against Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Xavier Worthy following his arrest on an assault charge. Attorneys representing Worthy assert that the allegations were unfounded, originating from a woman involved in a relationship with him. Williamson County District Attorney Shawn Dick stated that, after thorough investigation and interviews with multiple witnesses, his office has decided not to proceed with pressing charges. Worthy notably contributed with two touchdown receptions during the Chiefs’ participation in Super Bowl 59, despite their defeat to the Philadelphia Eagles.
