Frigid cold temperatures are expected to remain in Missouri for most of the week. Extremely cold air is pouring in as morning low temps are expected to drop below zero most of the week, with wind chills dipping as low as 20 degrees below zero.
If you need a place to stay warm, the state has hundreds of designated warming centers. They include many Salvation Army locations, churches, health departments, recreation centers, aging centers, and libraries.
These are not overnight shelters and site hours vary. Some are open on weekends.
