Snow is returning to Missouri this week.
A Winter Storm Warning has been issued for most of northern Missouri from 12:00 a.m. Wednesday through 9:00 p.m Wednesday. Heavy snow between five and 10 inches are being forecast for the warning area. It includes most of the Kansas City area, St. Joseph, Rock Port, Chillicothe, Bethany, Macon, and Kirksville.
A Winter Storm Watch is also in effect that covers Harrisonville, Butler, Clinton, Sedalia, Columbia, Mexico, and Hannibal. Anywhere from four to seven inches of snow are possible in the watch area. Further south, one to two inches of snow, or a rain-snow mix, are possible depending on how far south you are.
Gov. Kehoe has signed an executive order in advance of the winter weather.
