The NFL has issued a security alert to teams and the players’ union following burglaries targeting the homes of Kansas City Chiefs players Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce. According to a memo shared with media outlets, professional athletes across multiple sports are increasingly being victimized by organized burglary groups. The FBI recently briefed the NFL and other sports leagues on these incidents, highlighting that criminals often strike when athletes are away for games. The league advised players to enhance home security and remain vigilant against tactics like fake deliveries or individuals posing as neighborhood joggers or maintenance workers.
