Northern Missouri Congressman Sam Graves will remain in Congress.

President-elect Donald Trump has tabbed former Wisconsin Congressman Sean Duffy as U.S. Transportation Secretary. Graves, a Republican, currently chairs the U.S. House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure, and was being considered as the next Department of Transportation chief.

In a social media post, Graves called Duffy a “great pick for DOT” and said he looks forward to working with him on “big things ahead” in transportation.

Other Missourians are headed to Washington – former Missouri Solicitor General John Sauer has been picked as U.S. Solicitor General. St. Louis attorney Will Scharf, who ran for Missouri attorney general earlier this year, will serve as White House staff secretary and Trump’s assistant.
