The Chiefs will be regaining a pair of starters at practice this week. ESPN reports that Kansas City has designated running back Isiah Pacheco and defensive end Charles Omenihu to return to practice. Pacheco has been on injured reserve since September after suffering a broken fibula in Week Two. Omenihu [[ oh-MEN-ah-hoo ]] has not played this season after tearing his ACL during last season’s AFC Championship Game. Both players will reportedly practice Wednesday.

The Chiefs are turning the page to their Week 11 opponent. Kansas City will visit Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills on Sunday afternoon at Highmark Stadium. The Chiefs remained unbeaten with a 16-14 win over the Denver Broncos in Week 10. Patrick Mahomes passed for 266 yards and one touchdown in the victory. The Chiefs sit atop the AFC West at 9-and-0.

Major League Baseball has revealed the 2024 Silver Slugger Award winners. Kansas City shortstop Bobby Witt Jr. and catcher Salvador Perez were selected as American League Silver Sluggers. It is Perez’s fifth time winning the award and Witt’s first. Salvy hit 27 homers and led AL catchers with 104 RBIs. Witt led the majors in batting average.

The St. Louis Blues gave up three goals in the third period of their 3-2 loss to the Boston Bruins at Enterprise Center. Brayden Schenn and Oskar Sundqvist each scored a power-play goal in the second period to give St. Louis a 2-0 lead, but Boston tied the game up before the middle of the third and scored the game-winner with less than two minutes left in regulation. The Blues are in sixth place in the Central Division with 14 points and a 7-9-and-0 record. St. Louis is in Buffalo tomorrow.

College football playoff rankings. Mizzou is 23rd. The Top 12 teams make the playoffs for the first time. Texas, Tennessee, Alabama, Ole Miss, and Georgia are all within the top 12. Texas A&M, South Carolina, and LSU are all above Mizzou. The Tigers are in South Carolina on Saturday.
