The Chiefs hope to remain perfect in the NFL season. They play the Broncos on Sunday. Patrick Mahomes is coming off that 34-of-44 passing game with three touchdowns. He found Travis Kelce and got the ball to DeAndre Hopkins.
Mahomes suffered an ankle injury but says he can “move around” without limitations and that Hopkins will help create opportunities for others.
The Chiefs lead the AFC West at 8-and-0. Denver is third in the division at 5-and-4.
The St. Louis Blues gave up a pair of goals late in the third period during a 4-2 loss to the Utah Hockey Club. Jordan Kyrou scored in the middle of the third to tie the game at two, but his ill-advised drop pass turned into an opportunity for Utah to get the lead with a goal late.

The Blues are in fifth place in the Central Division with 14 points and a 7-7-and-0 record. St. Louis hosts Washington tomorrow night.
Mizzou and Oklahoma. The matchup means more to the fans than most of the players. The last time these conference rivals met was in 2011 and OU has dominated the series. But defensive line Kristian Williams says he’s heard enough to know what this game means.
Theo Wease Jr, transferred from Oklahoma so it means something more to him, but he wants to see a good showing from the offense.
15th-ranked Missouri State has won seven in a row and play at Murray State tomorrow afternoon. #6 SEMO has won seven in a row, and the Redhawks travel to Lindenwood tomorrow. The only D-I schools that are in-state rivals.
The Mizzou Tigers go for their first win when they take on Howard at Mizzou Arena tonight. The Tigers fell apart in the second half of their 83-75 loss to Memphis on Monday. Dennis Gates looking to clean some stuff up.
The Mizzou women beat Southern 66-51. Robin Pingeton’s team bounced back from their embarrassing season-opening loss.
Missouri State women’s soccer advanced to the finals of the Missouri Valley Tournament. They’ll play Duke on Sunday after their 2-nothing win over Belmont. Goalkeeper Camielle Day from Dardenne Prairie recorded her 11th shutout of the season and 29th of her career. The MSU men won their 12th regular season championship the other night. They’re off until the 13th when they host the semifinals of the Missouri Valley Tournament.
