(Jefferson City, MO) – Ameren Missouri wants to increase the electric rate for residential customers by more than 15%. The electric utility company has filed a rate increase request with the Missouri Public Service Commission.
If approved, the average residential customer would pay an additional $17 per month. The rate hike would raise about $446 million for Ameren.
The Public Service Commission is holding numerous public hearings in January about the proposed increase.
